Hey boo!
I hope you are doing well! This past weekend, I hit up Puerto Rico for a quick getaway to celebrate my girl Jasmine’s bachelorette weekend. If you watch my YouTube channel (and if you don’t, what are you doing?!), you already know Jasmine stays in the mix, so of course, we had to do it big for her.
Here's how we celebrated:
Thursday: San Juan Night
We kicked things off by diving straight into the San Juan nightlife in La Placita, and let me tell you—this city does NOT play! Tulum was a vibe with the music pumping all night. The bar scene? Overwhelming in the best way. People dancing, drinks flowing, and just pure fun. If you're looking for a spot that gives good energy, great music, and a mix of people ready to turn up—Tulum is the move.
Friday: Boozy Brunch & Bachelorette Shenanigans
Now, you already know we couldn’t do a bachelorette weekend without a little spice! Saturday was all about a boozy brunch, decked out with the cutest decor, some… let’s just say, risqué pieces 👀, and of course—lingerie gifts for the bride-to-be. If you need any bachelorette ideas I found this great Pinterest board. We laughed, we played games, and most importantly, we celebrated love the right way.
The night? A whole movie. 🎬 We hit up La Factoría—and if you love Spanish music like I do? BABY. This spot has 4-5 different rooms, each with its own vibe, but the salsa room?? I danced my heart out. The cocktails were cute, the people were lit, and the entire experience was straight out of a scene from a telenovela. Unforgettable.

After all the turn-up on Friday and Saturday, I knew I had to balance it out with a little rest and recharge. Learning how to enjoy both sides of a trip—the fun AND the slow moments—is something I’m really leaning into these days.
Saturday: A Little Solo Time & A Bomb Dinner
Saturday afternoon, I took some time to just chill and enjoy our beautiful Airbnb. P.S.—if you're booking a spot in San Juan, you NEED to check out this gorgeous home. Spacious, aesthetic, and the perfect mix of cozy and luxury.
By the evening, it was back outside—but this time, for a more laid-back but delicious experience. We had dinner at La Princesa, a restaurant that truly understands authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. And as an Afro-Latina, let me tell you—if I’m anywhere Spanish, just gimme some meat, rice, and beans! Period. 😆 I went for the pork belly with white rice and beans, and listen… it was everything I needed and más! The flavors, the seasoning, the way the food just hit the soul—chef’s kiss. 👌🏽
Sunday: One Last Dance at La Placita
To close out the trip, we did a quick run back to La Placita, because why not? It was just as fun, but one thing I’m really learning is that moderation is key in everything—including partying! We wrapped the night up early, feeling fulfilled but not drained.

Final Thoughts: Will I Be Back? Oh, Absolutely.
This was my first time in Puerto Rico, and even though it was a quick trip, I left feeling like there’s so much more to see and do. From the vibes to the food to the culture—San Juan definitely owes me another round!
